Sunday Morning Runs:
Regular Sunday runs! If you're not racing, are a new member, or just want some company on a Sunday morning easy paced run, then this could be for you ! These runs will start from Congleton Leisure centre or for variety within 25-45 mins drive.
Start time unless otherwise indicated 9.30 am Distance 6-10 miles (max 10). The idea is to have a number of run leaders who will lead a run each week on a route of their own choice, road, off road, multi terrain (or even ad hoc on the day). This way no one is committed to turning up every week (we're all busy).
Post run there may be the opportunity for tea/coffee depending on the location.
Non club members are welcome on these runs!
For this to succeed we need more run leaders ...the routes can be anything you want it to be urban, country, club summer/winter routes, anything. It's about getting together on a Sunday having a natter and enjoying it. We need more run leaders so if you’re prepared to lead a run please get in touch with us.
Details for each week's run will be on the Harriers Facebook page.
Schedule for the upcoming runs:
|Sunday 6th September||9:30 am||Phil Dawson||
Hi all, We've been Sunday running for more than a few weeks now complying with E A COVID 19 Guidelines, but have kept it low key for obvious reasons.
However, as EA restrictions have eased to allow greater numbers to participate, we are now going to open it out to the wider membership.
So, that said, the Sunday run this week will be a flatter affair compared to last week's, and will be a tour of Sandbach's hidden paths, rolling pastures, and canals. A distance of 11.6 mls and 472 ft ascent means although longish it's do-able by all as the pace is social with a few stops.
Trail shoes are ideal as there's a bit of tarmac. It's a really nice route, parts of which will be new to those who've been before !
Start time is 9.30 am : Place is Waitrose, Sandbach BOTTOM car park, which is free ! Post code is Flat Lane CW11 4BE. Coffee/ tea after in Sandbach.
Any questions please feel free to contact me.As usual please let me know if you're coming
