Sunday Morning Runs:

Sunday run fun
Sunday run fun!

Regular Sunday runs! If you're not racing, are a new member, or just want some company on a Sunday morning easy paced run, then this could be for you ! These runs will start from Congleton Leisure centre or for variety within 25-45 mins drive.

Start time unless otherwise indicated 9.30 am Distance 6-10 miles (max 10). The idea is to have a number of run leaders who will lead a run each week on a route of their own choice, road, off road, multi terrain (or even ad hoc on the day). This way no one is committed to turning up every week (we're all busy).

Post run there may be the opportunity for tea/coffee depending on the location.

Non club members are welcome on these runs!

For this to succeed we need more run leaders ...the routes can be anything you want it to be urban, country, club summer/winter routes, anything. It's about getting together on a Sunday having a natter and enjoying it. We need more run leaders so if you’re prepared to lead a run please get in touch with us.

Details for each week's run will be on the Harriers Facebook page.

Schedule for the upcoming runs:

November 10th 10 am Phil Dawson Remembrance day run up Alderley Edge. Meet at Running Bear sports shop, 5 London Rd, Alderley Edge SK9 7JT. This is a run not a race to pay tribute to the service men and women who gave their lives in the service of our country. A brief stop for a two minute silence will be made on the top of the Edge. A Piper and bugler will be in attendance not to mention a tot of whiskey !  It will be a very memorable day I'm sure.  6.7 mls Undulating Multi terrain

The Sunday run this week is a picturesque 'brand new' route devised and led by Helen starting at 9:30 am from the lay by at Peover Park (opposite the primary school) Stocks Ln, Over Peover, Knutsford WA16 8TU.

Distance is approx 9 miles, mainly off road and flat. The pace is social with stops to re-group, so it's suitable for those new to off roading. Afterwards we'll have a brew at The Dog Inn, just up the road from the start.

Note on safety : While this one is not a Fell run we are in the open and accidents can happen, so suggested kit to carry would be hat, gloves, waterproof top and bottom. Plasters for minor cuts and grazes would be useful too.
